He was predeceased by: his wife Rebecca Pearson Williams; his parents, Thomas Arthur and Grace Pendergrass Williams; his nephew Jesse Williams (Mary); his niece Deborah Rigsbee; and his sister Margie Williams Rigsbee.
He is survived by: his niece Carol Rigsbee of Chapel Hill; his great-nieces, Jennifer Blackwood (Forrest) of Mebane and Amanda Wall of Chapel Hill; his great-nephew Rob Williams (Ashley) of Haw River; and his siblings-in-law, Barbara P. Turner (Bill) of Chapel Hill, Wanda Inscoe of Wales and Tom Pearson of Durham.
