Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Lucretia Elaine leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Mary Lou (Mary Lucretia Pou) and Lewie Merchant (Bruce Lewie, Sr.) of Columbia, SC; her brother Bruce (Bruce Lewie, Jr.); her patients Elaine; and her grandsons, Jesse (Emma Doody), Colin and Zeke.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church (2016 Mt Carmel Church Rd, Chapel Hill, NC 27517). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
