Kenneth Sword Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Kenneth Sword of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 7, 2025 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Sword and Jane Sword. He is survived by: his wife Christy Merritt; his sons, Andrew Sword (Jessica) and Taylor Sword (Nicole); his former spouse Wayne Merritt (Casey); his sisters, Connie Wells (Mike) and Anne McReynolds (Terry); and his grandchildren, Wesley, Brooke Sword, Quinn, Harper and Ivy Merritt. He is also survived by many other family members, friends, and his beloved cats.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honor of David to the Triangle Blues Society.
