Karen Nichols Hayner Obituary

We are sad to announce that on September 28, 2024, at the age of 86, Karen Nichols Hayner of Chapel Hill, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Eldred E. Nichols and Olive Nichols (Lester); her husband Jerry Hayner; and her son Todd Hayner. She is survived by: her daughter Kelli Smith (Scott) of Chapel Hill; her grandchildren, Morgan Stapp (Henry), Brian Smith, Kayla, Savannah and Dylan Hayner; her great grandchildren, Avery, Emily Stapp, Caden and Charlie Caroleo; and her brothers, Lynn Nichols (Ann) of Harrodsburg, KY, Nolan Nichols (Lynda) of Harrodsburg, KY and Earl Kent Nichols (Linda) of Harrodsburg, KY. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Instead of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts be made to the University Presbyterian Church designated for the Pastor's Discretionary Fund.
