He was predeceased by: his brother-in-law David Ontjes; and his sister Norma Berry. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Ontjes; his children, Liz Falletta and Matt Falletta of Los Angeles; and his brother-in-law Sam Ontjes (Judy Ontjes). He is also survived by children and grandchildren); the grown children and grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the University Presbyterian Church (209 E Franklin St, Chapel Hill, NC 27514).
