He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his children, Christopher Cheek and Meredith Castevens (Jason); his grandchildren, Brittany Castevens, Taylor Castevens, Bryan Castevens, Hunter Cheek and Natalie Cheek; his siblings, Lydia Freeman (Larry) and Kenneth Cheek (Charlotte); and his nieces, Kim Edmonds (Dale), Michelle Castro (Mike) and Amy Riley (Don).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 5th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Walkers Funeral Home (120 W Franklin St, Chapel Hill, NC 27516). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 5th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
He was proud of his contributions to this first-class organization.
