He was predeceased by: his parents, Anna and Abraham. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Kramer Jonas; his children, Cara, Beth and David (Sherry); his grandchildren, Joshua (Jennifer), Ilana, Annie, Halley (Shannon) and Abby; and his great-nephew Lucas.
A graveside service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Judea Reform Cemetery (2560 Jones Ferry Rd, Chapel Hill, NC 27516). A reception was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM and on Sunday, February 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the Home of the Deceased (526 Hawthorne Dr, Chapel Hill, NC 27517).
