It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frank Webb McCracken III of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, who passed away on March 19, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Webb McCracken, Jr. and Margaret Moore McCracken; and his sister Florence McCracken Dossenbach. He is survived by: his daughter Sherrill McCracken; his grandson Jack McCracken Richardson; his daughter Sarah McCracken Cobb; his son-in-law Ken; his granddaughters, Rebecca Sherrill Cobb and Caroline Cobb Ragsdale (Donovan); his daughter Mary Ann McCracken Compton (Will); his grandchildren, James Webb Compton (Ginny), Peter Jonathan Compton and Anna Sarah Compton; his sister-in-law Mary Jane Dickerson; his nephew Bert Dickerson; his niece Ann Meigs Dickerson; and also, Flossie Parks, Margaret Leigh and Robert Dossenbach.
