It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elizabeth (Betsy) Mitchell Dekirmenjian (Chapel Hill, North Carolina), born in Wilkesboro, North Carolina, who passed away on April 16, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Dr. Gurney T. and Julia Mitchell (Phillips); her husband Haroutune "Harry" Dekirmenjian; her sisters, Frances Foster of Yadkinville, NC and Carolyn Elgin of Salisbury, NC; her children, Liza Alexanian (Armen) of Hoffman Estates, IL and Krikor Dekirmenjian of Atlanta, GA; and her grandchildren, Tamar Alexanian, Ari Alexanian and Arek Alexanian.
Due to the present pandemic, we will come together for a Celebration of Life at a later date at First Baptist Church Concord, Knoxville, TN.
