She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Dawson and Elsie Wilson Dawson; her husband Edward W. Dodson (Tee); her brothers, Donnie and Darrell Dawson; her grandson Ronald Shane Dodson; and her great grandchildren, Jacob and Madison Dodson.
She is survived by: her children, Ronald W. Dodson (Gwen) of Currituck, N. C. and Peggy Dodson of Efland, N. C.; her grandchildren, Amanda Cales (Randy), Ronnie W. Dodson Jr. and Wendy Simmons (William); her great grandchildren, Megan Billings, Miranda Boone (Cody), Morgan Billings, Lucas, Maya Feldt, Austyn and Spencer Simmons; her niece Kay Rogers; her nephews, Chris and Danny Dawson; and her great great grandchildren, Mackenzie Marie, Hunter Dawson, Dixie Rae, Aubree Opal and Khai Lucas. She is also survived by mother to her family.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Clover Garden Methodist Church (2757 Orange Chapel Clover Garden Rd, Chapel Hill, NC 27516). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
