He is survived by: his wife Sue Hoenig Marbry; his son Gary Marbry (Delaine); his grandsons, Michael (Anna) and Trevor (Lauren); his daughter Darian Poliachik (Bob); his grandchildren, Justin (Emily), Kasey (Zach) and Shelby (Jacob); his stepdaughter Toni Umstead (John); his stepgrandchildren, Devon (Clate), Chloë and John Wesley (Kristen); his stepson Mark Hoenig (Barbara); and his stepgrandsons, Christopher (Rachel) and Brian (Kristin). He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Don's beloved Carolina Baseball program, or your choice of organization.
