She was predeceased by: her husband Jacob Carson Hardee; her daughter Patricia Newton Stanley of Winston Salem; and her siblings, Eva Mae Harris, Baby Allen and Jasper Allen.
She is survived by: her children, Charlie Thomas, Tommy, Steve Dale Hardee of Chapel Hill and Cindy Hardee Merritt (Wesley) of Hillsborough; her grandsons, Spencer Wesley Merritt of Cary and Connor Jacob Merritt of Carrboro; and her sisters, Edna Beck of Wake Forest and Norine Smith of Franklinton. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
