She was predeceased by: her father Jesse James Cartrette; and her brother Vernon Cartrette. She is survived by: her husband Kenneth "Ken" Edwards; her children, Rhonda Ward (Pastor Tony Ward) of Chadbourn, Tina McPherson (Mark) of Chadbourn and Steve Edwards of Chadbourn; her siblings, Don Cartrette (Judy) of Chadbourn, Elizabeth Branson of Chadbourn, Bonnie Williams of Whiteville and Bernice Griffin of Chadbourn; her grandchildren, Thomas "Trey" Ward, III (Brianna), Haleigh Brooke Ward (Stephen Hill), Tyler McPherson, Hagan Suggs (Ray) and Roth Edwards; and her great grandchildren, Bella Suggs and Emersyn Rae Ward.
