She is survived by: her children, Ricky Simmons (Faye) of Chadbourn and Angela Simmons Herring (Barry) of Chadbourn; and her grandchildren, Scott Simmons (Mary Ann), Sharon S. Spivey (David), Travis Herring (Amelia), Tracy H. Gay (Dustin) and Vera. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
