He is survived by: his parent Lacy; his daughter Dianna Carol Coleman of Bladenboro; and his siblings, Dale Batten of Cerro Gordo, Gene Batten, Jimmy Batten, Brenda B. Blackwell, Betsy B. Strickland, Carolyn B. Bennett of Winston Salem, Diane B. Thompson of Bladenboro and Earlene B. Stewart of Chadbourn. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
