It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard MacK Barfield (Chadbourn, North Carolina), who passed away on October 23, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Novak Barfield and Blanche Ethel Nobles Barfield; his wife Anita White Barfield; and his sister Thetis Barfield Nobles. He is survived by: his children, Deborah Barfield (David) of Chadbourn, Doreen Nance (Jimmy) of Chadbourn, Donna Boswell (Tony), Rocky Mount and Fred Barfield (Jennifer) of Myrtle Beach, SC; his sister Sudie Barfield Wright of Yadkinville; his grandchildren, L. J. Barfield, Jessica DiCicco, Casey Small, Alicia Mitchell, Kayla Dodson, Adam Seay and Joushua Nance; and his great grandchildren, Ava, Liam, Ayden, Hanna, Sadie, Amelia, Kaley, Ian and Nevaeh. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to the Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Center, 206 Warrior Trail, Whiteville, NC 28472.
