He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Carey Evans and Juliet Lennon Evans; and his fiancée Melissa Corder. He is survived by: his sons, Phillip Heath Evans (Cassie Ivey) of Evergreen and Joshua Brian Evans of Whiteville; his stepdaughters, Brandy Love of Chadbourn and Nichole Curden of Whiteville; his sister June Evans Curry (David) of Evergreen; his grandchildren, Adrianna Evans, Taylor Evans, Rainey Evans, Peyton Evans and Suri Evans; his stepgrandchildren, Whitney Love, Micheal Love, Jessica Love, Destiny Love, Dayson Gerald and Kendal Gerald; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Za'Kiyah Johnson, Markus Bullock and Jayda Bullock.
