She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Crawford and Inez Worley (PC); her brother Joseph Franklin Piver Jr.; her former husband Joe Bowers (Joey); and also Bob Seiden.

She is survived by: her daughter Mardi Bowers Gause (Brent) of Whiteville; her niece Lisa Kay Piver; her cousins, David Worley, Jean Powell (Tommy), Marilyn Ballard (Harold) and Richard Worley (Diane); and also, T. J. Enzor, Louise Davis Thomas, Lynn and Pam Stone.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Worthington Funeral Home (405 E Strawberry Blvd, Chadbourn, NC 28431). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Columbus Memorial Park (1227 S Madison St, Whiteville, NC 28472).

Memorial contributions may be made to Piney Forest Baptist Church (4509 Andrew Jackson Hwy SW, Chadbourn, NC 28431) or to the Columbus County Humane Society (2632 James B. White Hwy South, Whiteville, NC 28472) of which she was an avid supporter.
