He is survived by: his wife Vickie Cribb Edwards; his children, Sam Edwards (Detra) of Chadbourn and Mirenda Edwards-Prout (Eric) of Tabor City; his brother Kenneth "Ken" Edwards (Willa Dean) of Chadbourn; his grandchildren, Alex Edwards (Randa), Isabelle Edwards and Elleigh Prout; his great grandchildren, Abigail Edwards and Levi Edwards; and his pet Winston.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials may be made to the Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Center- 206 Warrior Trail, Whiteville, NC 28472.
