She was predeceased by: her parents, Jepsie James and Flora Jane Nobles Blackwell; and her siblings, Earl Blackwell, Billy Blackwell, Kathleen Nealey, Vancie Williams, Ruby McPherson, Letha Hilbourn, Kate Nobles of Missouri and Rossie Blackwell.

She is survived by: her husband Alton Ray Dyson, Sr. of Mullins, SC; and her grandchildren, Christopher Walters, Morgan Gore, Jeremy Dyson, Johnny Dyson and Aaron Dyson. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren.
