She was predeceased by: her parents, Neal Barnes and Marietha Wooddel Barnes; her husband James Floyd McPherson; her son Jerry McPherson; her siblings, Pansy Herring, Louise Lopushansky, Georgia Lewis, Neal "Buddy" Barnes, Jr. and John "Hector" Morris Barnes; and her grandchildren, Drina Faye Britt, William Harold Britt, Jr. and Brianna McPherson.
She is survived by: her children, Josephine Cannon of Nichols, SC, Andrea Faye Britt of Red Springs, NC and James Wallace McPherson of Chadbourn, NC; and her sister Helen Snipes of Red Springs, NC. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren.
