It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Junior Godwin (Chadbourn, North Carolina), born in Columbus, North Carolina, who passed away on April 26, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Milton Godwin Sr. and Helen Duncan Godwin; his granddaughter Abigail Guzman; his great grandchildren, Kinslee Hiatt and Alivia Hiatt; and his siblings, Essie Cartrette, Myrtle Todd, Ruby Colton, Pauline Blackmon, Alene McPherson, Sadie Chandler, Auty Godwin of Joseph Godwin, J. W, Arthur M. Godwin Jr. and Bob Godwin.
He is survived by: his daughters, Helen G. Guzman of Moncks Corner, SC, Nancy G. Bullard of Chadbourn, NC, Donna G. McPherson of Chadbourn, NC and Tina G. St. George of Rincon, GA; his grandchildren, Teddy Bullard II, Joshua McPherson, Jason McPherson, Sarah G. Shelley, Matthew Bullard, Evan Bullard, Angelina Guzman, Chelsey Hiatt and Ally St. George; and his great grandchildren, Caitlyn McPherson, Chesney McPherson, Kaia Bullard, Jackson Austin, Jillian Austin, Mason McPherson, Lorelei Bullard, Maddie McPherson, Daniel Shelley, Sofia Shelley, Ford Hiatt, Aria Shuman, Abel Hiatt and Aurora Underwood. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic and executive order by the Governor the attendance will be limited.
