It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Hazel Ruth Coleman of Chadbourn, North Carolina, born in Columbus, North Carolina, who passed away on February 15, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Ellis and Golia Jane Coleman Ellis; her grandson Eric Coleman; and her sisters, Pauline Norris Joyner, Gwendolyn Ellis Barbee and Mary Ellis Bass.
She is survived by: her children, Vicky Sealey of Chadbourn, Michael Coleman (Sandy) of Chadbourn, Angela Coleman of White Lake and Nancy Jung (Seung) of Mooresville; and her brothers, Fred Ellis (Sue) of Lumberton, James Ellis (Pat) of Asheville and Larry Ellis (Ann) of Fayetteville. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
