It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gwendolyn Lee Strickland of Chadbourn, North Carolina, who passed away on January 24, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Goodman E. Smith and Cora Lee White Smith; her husband Loyd Clyde Strickland; and her siblings, Jerry Smith, JoeNeil Smith and Mona Faye Williams.
She is survived by: her son Michael Lloyd Strickland (Jennifer); her grandchildren, Michael Brent Strickland (Anna) of Clarkton and Christy Strickland (Brian) of Hallsboro; her great grandchildren, Kayley Strickland, Kody Strickland, Kennedy Strickland, Kamdyn Strickland, Mason Strickland, Brylan Register and Gabriel Strickland; and her sister Rita Gail Monk of Chadbourn.
