He is survived by: his parent Robert Arthur Yates; his children, Anna Yates Odham, Glenn A. Yates of Savannah, GA and William Rufus Yates (Nan) of High Point; his sister Ruby Yates Johnston of Chadbourn; his grandchildren, William Rufus Yates, Jr. (Bill), Robert Parker Yates (Carson Harrison Yates), Andrew Mercer Yates (Drew), McCauley James Yates, Erica Lee Odham, Leonard Odham (Brandon) and Heidi Kell Odham; and his great grandchildren, Luke Hudson Odham, Jacob Lee Odham and Leonard Yates Odham.
