It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Forest Horne (Chadbourn, North Carolina), who passed away on March 28, 2020, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, L. Berry Horne and Dallie Theonia Hinson Horne; his wife Sarah Mercer Horne; his siblings, Ressie H. Gordon, Agnes H. Barfield, Bill Horne, Floyd Horne, Hezekiah Horne, Jack Horne and Theonia Starnes; his grandson Stephen Hyatt; and his great grandchild Peyton Huggins.
He is survived by: his children, Paula H. Huggins of Chadbourn, David "Berry" Horne of Chadbourn, Lisa H. Hamilton of Cerro Gordo and Tony Ray Horne of Wilson; and his siblings, Eva H. Woody of Whiteville, Amos Horne of Sandy, SC, Edith "Bett" H. Clewis of Miami, FL and Essel H. Howe of Normal, IL. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
