With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Emerson Duncan Jr. (Chadbourn, North Carolina), born in Mullins, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 5, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Emerson Duncan, Sr. and Helen Strickland Duncan; his wife Peggy Ann Martin Duncan; his daughter Faith Duncan; and his brother Billy Duncan.
He is survived by: his children, Kyle Duncan (Wendi) of Whiteville and Emily Carol Duncan of Whiteville; his grandchildren, Kayla Inman, Zach Inman, Taylor Stocks Housand (Addison), Zachary Stocks, Mary Bellamy and Victoria Duncan; his great grandchildren, Annelle Housand, Declan Housand, Calvin Stocks, Oliver Stocks, Riles Inman and Scarlett Locklear; his brother Henry Benton; and his close friend Bobbi Royal.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Worthington Funeral Home (405 E Strawberry Blvd, Chadbourn, NC 28431). A graveside service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Whiteville Memorial Cemetery (1014 James B White Hwy N, Whiteville, NC 28472).
