She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Franklin and Bertha Winnie Worrell Batten of Hallsboro; her husband Francis Winnies; her daughter Veneta; her sons-in-law, Carter of High Point and Richard Skinner of Dublin; and her siblings, Louise B. Crawford (Frank) of Cary and Gordon Batten (Ann) of Whiteville.
She is survived by: her children, Pamela Skinner of Dublin, Marcia Tate (David) of Canton, Mary Hardin (Kevin) of Chadbourn and Vincent Winnies of Chadbourn; and her grandchildren, Wendy Overton, Lisa Jelinek, David Carter, Frances Rigdon, Amy Williamson, Paul Skinner, James Hardin and Zachary Hardin. She is also survived by seventeen great grandchildren.
