It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Doris Estelle Thompson of Chadbourn, North Carolina, born in Columbus, North Carolina, who passed away on March 15, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Shadrach "Shade" Wooten and Minnie Page Wooten; and her husband Lacy R. Thompson, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Joyce T. Long (Randy) of Waxhaw, Gayle T. Williamson (Pete) of Chadbourn, Elaine T. Honeycutt (Jerome) of Chadbourn, Lacy R. Thompson, Jr. (Maria) and Roy Shade Thompson (Kelly) of Florence, SC.; and her grandchildren, Paige Hinson (Gregory) of Monroe, Jason Long (Michele) of Greenville, SC, Shanna Kay Williamson of Chadbourn, Jennifer Honeycutt (Eric Powell) of Chadbourn, Jordan Long of Washington, DC, Mary Lacy Williamson (Gina) of Little River, Christina Thompson (Myrtle Beach), Dylan Thompson of Florence and Jacob Thompson of Charleston. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
