He is survived by: his sons, Donald Wayne Mercer (Brenda) of Chadbourn and Ricky Dean Mercer; his sister Peggy Mercer Sellers of Chadbourn; his grandchildren, AJ, John and Ricky, Jr.; and his great grandchild Bryson Mercer.
