It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Shaw of Chadbourn, North Carolina, who passed away on September 22, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Jean Tuton Shaw; and his parents, Andrew Shaw and Ida Bullard Shaw. He is survived by: his children, Terry S. Walker (Veronda) of Tabor City, Ida Jean Horton of Chadbourn, Trish Shaw Nealey of Chadbourn and Shane Andrew Shaw (Kassie) of Chadbourn. He is also survived by thirteen Grandchildren, four Great-Grandchildren, and two Great-Great-Granddaughters.

“Charles and Jean were my chosen surrogate parents.. I spent so much time in their house and was always treated like family. Charles would take us, the kids, to the fair, races, and numerous fun events. I admired him and Jean. I am sorry that I did not know of the loss.
