He was predeceased by: his parents, David Joyner and Ella Blackmon Joyner; his wife Pauline Joyner; and his siblings, John Howard Joyner and Peggy J. Nobles.
He is survived by: his children, Patsy J. Redish (Ron) of Lumberton, Charline J. Inman (Steve) of Chadbourn and Kelly J. Coleman; his grandchildren, Roma Honeycutt and Shane Register; his great grandchildren, Branden Register (Amanda), Brittany C. Norris (Caleb), Cheyanne Honeycutt (James) and Nash Honeycutt; and his great great grandchildren, Lily Register, Lexi Register, Alivia Register, Aria Woodcock and Cason Norris.
