She was predeceased by: her parents, Macey Jack and Linnie Ruth Thompkins Norris; her husband Roger Delane McPherson; and her brother Earl Norris. She is survived by: her children, Joey Delane McPherson (Chris) of Chadbourn, NC, Craig McPherson (Rose) of Chadbourn, NC and Amy McPherson Fowler of Chadbourn, NC.; her grandchildren, Sunni, Jessie (Zach), Justin (Karlie), Joshua (Jessica), Roy (Sarah), Macelan (Matt) and Emma Anna (Brad); her great grandchildren, Kynlee, Briar, Riggs, Madelyn Shelt (Little Mattie), Mable, Colt and Ellie; and her sister Peggy Mills (Henry) of Tabor City.

A graveside service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Frog Field Cemetery (1500 Roseland Rd, Chadbourn, NC 28431).
