Simmons of Shallotte; his sister Ruth L. Duncan of Chadbourn; his grandchildren, Kim Glaesner, Jason White (Charlesanna), Nicholas Batten (Amelia), Michaela Batten (David), Kendal Glaesner and Mackenzie Simmons; and his great grandchildren, Isaac Worley, Zachary Batten and Lethan White.
