It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Jo Griffin of Chadbourn, North Carolina, born in Columbus, North Carolina, who passed away on February 17, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lonnie Powers and Marie Shephard Powers; and her sister Peggy Griffin. She is survived by: her husband Russell; her nieces, Kathy Baldwin (Ted) of Chadbourn and Tammy Doty (Chris) of Chadbourn; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Chris Baldwin, Amanda Baldwin, Devin Williamson and Britain Williamson; her sister-in-law Judy Horne (Jimmy); her aunts, Janie Powers and Elizabeth Callahan; and also, Haley Connor, Mallory Smith and Jackson Smith.
