She was predeceased by: her parents, James "Jimmy" Walter and Minnie Gertrude Millikan Leonard; her husband Joseph "Joe" Duncan; and her siblings, Ethel Norris, Bobby Mills, Jesse Leonard, Carlton Leonard, Janice Patterson and Billy Leonard.
She is survived by: her children, Peggy Duncan Nobles (Jimmy) of Chadbourn, Joseph Delane Duncan (Janet) of Catawba, Jesse Wayne Duncan of Chadbourn, Darlene Duncan Simmons (Jonathan) of Chadbourn and Jimmy Dale Duncan (Donna) of Chadbourn; and her grandchildren, Christina N. Coleman (Tracey), Christopher "Chris" Nobles (Felicia), Deidra Duncan, Casey D. Blue (Cory) and Joshua Simmons (Robin). She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
