It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Fay Odell Hayes of Cerro Gordo, North Carolina, who passed away on December 27, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Luke High Green, Sr. and Beulah Page Green; and her husband Daniel Monroe Hayes. She is survived by: her siblings, Stella Fipps, Lula Floyd, Luke Green, Jr., Bobby Green, June Green and Ruby Blackwell; her sons, Wayne Hayes (Carolyn) of Cerro Gordo, Danny Hayes (Frances) of Chadbourn and Terry Hayes (Jennifer) of Cerro Gordo; and her grandchildren, Wayne, Jr., Denice, Anna, April Harris, Dana, Graham, Dawson and Hunter. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
