It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cynthia Lou Compton of Cerro Gordo, North Carolina, who passed away on August 10, 2024, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Compton and Elizabeth Lord Compton. She is survived by: her children, Katrina Cribb Walker (Mike) of Whiteville, Karen Lou Cribb (Mike) of Chadbourn, Ronald Cribb of Clarkton and Ned Watts (April) of Cerro Gordo; her siblings, Linda Cribb of Aynor, SC, Jimmy Compton of Myrtle Beach, SC and Terry Compton of Myrtle Beach, SC; her grandchildren, Cynthia Ward (Nathan), Marlee Wilkins (Bryan), Nolan Cribb, Molly Ray and Carissa Ray; and her great grandchild Roselynn Williams.
