It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Winnie Goodwin of Cedar Island, North Carolina, who passed away on August 16, 2020, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Styron and Naomi Styron; her siblings, Donald Styron, Curtis Styon, Harliss Styron, Addie Goodwin and Ester Gilgo; and her brothers-in-law, Carl Fulcher, Kenneth Gaskill, Troy Goodwin and Jimmie Goodwin.
She is survived by: her children, Marjorie Martinez (Kim) of Atlantic, Cindy Austin (Donald) of Ocracoke and Joe Goodwin (Jennifer) of Cedar Island; her siblings, Richard Styron (Joanne) of Cedar Island, Bennie Styron (Danielle) of Cedar Island, Caldonia Gaskill of Cedar Island, Janet Lee Fulcher of Beaufort, Ellen Goodwin of Cedar Island and Blondie Goodwin of Cedar Island; her sisters-in-law, Agnes Styron of Cedar Island and Jennifer Styron of Cedar Island; her grandchildren, Noel Goodwin (Daniel), Megan Martinez (Dak), Michael "Dew" Winchester, Cameron Day, Donald Joseph "DJ" Goodwin (Sarah), Kailyn Salter, Perry Austin, Jacob Salter, Jack Goodwin, Josh Goodwin and Johnny Salter; her great grandchildren, Erica Fulp, Lela Palacios, Tyler Nichols, Xander Palacios, Xavier Palacios, Embly Wormell and Everleigh Wormell; her stepgranddaughters, Olivia Lee (Sean) and Jessica Rocha (Antonio); and her friend Sharon Goodwin Curry. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid 19 requirements, social distancing and masks will be required at the service.
