It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Dewey Harry Pope of Cedar Grove, North Carolina, born in Durham, North Carolina, who passed away on August 7, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Pope and Mabel Pope. He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Leslie; his wife Rachel King Pope of Cedar Grove; his children, Deborah Pope of Durham and Mike Pope (Leslie) of Cedar Grove; his grandsons, Landon and Lawson Pope of Cedar Grove; and his brothers, Joe Pope (Judi) of Cedar Grove, Marvin Pope (Diane) of Mebane and Jimmy Pope of Carolina Beach. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID-19, a graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at 11:00 a. m. at Cedar Grove United Methodist Church.
