He was predeceased by: his parents, D. H. "Pete" Hoyle and Sue Teague Hoyle; and his sisters, Jean Hamby and Judy Currie. He is survived by: his wife Susan Spencer Hoyle; his daughter Sarah Cowell (Tim) of Angier; his sisters, Kathy Queen of Hickory and Pat Hollar of Newton; and his grandchild Easton Cowell A.
