He was predeceased by: his parent Roy Brown Buchanan; his son Terry Buchanan; and his siblings, Claude Buchanan and Bunny Bolick. He is survived by: his parent Junie Mae Whisnant Buchanan; his wife Pat Bolick Buchanan; his children, Brent Buchanan (Susan) of Conover and Dawn Yount (Brad) of Taylorsville; his grandchildren, Dylan, Savanna Buchanan of Maiden and Colston Yount of Taylorsville; and his siblings, Charles Buchanan (Barbara) of Connelly Springs and Mary Sigmon of Longview. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
