He was predeceased by: his son Kevin Wayne Padgett; his parents, Paul Padgett and Mary Rosella Richardson Padgett; and his sister Sharon Kay Little. He is survived by: his wife Linda Jane Smithey Padgett of Claremont, NC; his daughters, Saundra Petty Huffman of Claremont and Cheryl Petty Weaver (Timothy Eric Weaver) of Powell, TN.; his grandchildren, Jennifer Canella of Hickory, Jordan Huffman of Newton, Briana Stephens (Shane) of Powell, TN and Courtney Weaver of Powell, TN.; his great grandchildren, Jacob Canella, Callie Canella of Claremont and Zoey Huffman of Conover; his siblings, John Padgett (Kelley) of Arkansas, Linda Aragon of Texas and Joyce Turner; his nephew Danny Little; and his niece Amy Wickham of Colorado.
