It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Max Whitener Sherrill of Catawba, North Carolina, who passed away on November 9, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Hoke Smith Sherrill and Julia Guffey Sherrill; his wife Betty Sigmon Sherrill; and his brother Mal A. Sherrill. He is survived by: his children, Eric Scott Sherrill (Madeleine Perez) of Clemmons and Tracy Lynn Sherrill Stott (Christopher) of Durham; and his brothers, Hal L. Sherrill of Mooresville and C. George Sherrill of Troutman.
