She was predeceased by: her parents, Millard Benfield and Catherine Richards Benfield; and her siblings, Larry Benfield, Dale Benfield, Geneva York and Wilma Benfield.
She is survived by: her husband Cecil Eugene Cook Sr.; her children, Penny Lasher (David) of Catawba, Cecil Cook Jr. of Maiden and Robert Lee Cook (Jodia) of Catawba; and her brothers, Kenny Benfield (Diane) and Truey Benfield. She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
