As Kathy Kilby departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Kathy Kilby may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Kathy Kilby leaves behind.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Floyd Kilby and Hazel Davis Kilby. She is survived by: her husband David Stewart; her sons, Robbie Stewart (Casey) of Newton and Michael Stewart (Corey) of Catawba; her brother Tommy Kilby (Gail) of Millers Creek; her nephew Derek Kilby (Melanie); and her sisters, Barbara Higgins and Sandra Redman.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:15 PM at the Concord Global Methodist Church (7618 Monbo Rd, Catawba, NC 28609). A celebration of life was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
