He is survived by: his children, Stan Kale (Pat) of Lenoir, Jerry Kale (Linda Crisp) of Catawba and Cheryl Kale Moss (Steve) of Catawba; his grandchildren, Jennifer Reep, Sandy Moss Dalton (Aaron), Kelia Britt (Jacob), Scott Kale and Michael Moss; and his siblings, Steve Kale, Kermit Kale of Catawba, Janice Bumgarner of Catawba and Joyce Lee of Michigan.
