She was predeceased by: her parents, Linzie Johnson and Maggie Benfield Johnson; her husband Charles Braswell; and her siblings, Earl Benfield, Roy Johnson, Paul Johnson, John Johnson, Junior Johnson, Ray Johnson of Harold Johnson, C. W and Cleola Morgan.
She is survived by: her children, Charles Braswell Jr. (Penny Calhoun Braswell), Sherrie Braswell Orren (Bill Orren) and Patrick Braswell (Lisa McGlamery); her grandchildren, Daniel Orren (Belinda), Charles Braswell III (Rebecca), Haley Kiser (John), Zack Orren and Avery Braswell (Alexis Gibson); her great grandchildren, Elijah Orren, Isaiah Orren, Jocelyn Braswell, Bella Orren, Emma Braswell, Luke Kiser, Olivia Orren, Amelia Orren, Kasey Fortenberry and Dustin Fortenberry; and her close friend Melvin Tucker.
