She was predeceased by: her parents, Dewey Pascal Elliott and Mary Alda Williams Elliott; her husband Herman Carl Brown; and her siblings, James, Steve, Curtis Elliott and Betty Staley.
She is survived by: her children, Phil Brown (Lynn) of Conover, Paul Brown (Regina) of Catawba and Liz Mackie (John) of Catawba; her siblings, Roger Elliott of Catawba and Scarlett Mackie of Claremont; her grandchildren, Clay Mackie, Luke Brown, Candace Mackie, Caroline Church, Chelsea Brown, Carolyn Jackson and Ashton Brown; her great grandchildren, Colin Mackie, Mason, Noah Jackson, Easton Church, Hayden Burleson, Sydney Burleson, Eleanor and Juliet Mackie; her caregivers, Ann Cole, Brandi Lingle and Pam Lail; and her close friend Ken Harris of Maiden.
