She was predeceased by: her parents, Greathel Owens and Estel Deel Owens; her daughter Christina Shortridge; and her sister Audrey Gabbard. She is survived by: her husband Grady Shortridge; her children, Janet Lingerfelt (Danny) of Hickory, NC and Darrell Shortridge of Elon, NC; and her siblings, Joyce Wingard and Sammy Owens (Leneda) of Honaker, VA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
